I'd like to tell you about my mum. Mum is a main person in children's life.
My mum's name's Olga. She's forty years old but she looks younger. She's got green eyes and shoulder length brown wavy hair. My mum's rather tall but she's shorter than my dad.
My mum's a clever woman. She is a doctor and works in a hospital. She's really hardworking and patient. My mum is responsible.
My mum doesn't like sitting in front of a TV set in her free time. She's got several hobbies. For example, she likes skiing in the park in winter. If it is summer, she usually rides a bike. Also, she likes listening to music and writing poems.
I think my mum is the best. I really love her.
Yesterday I called to the polyclinic to make an appointment with my district doctor.
When I arrived at the reception, the receptionist found my patient’s card and directed me to consulting room 5 where my district doctor saw patients. I didn’t have to wait long. Soon the nurse invited me to come in. The doctor asked me what was wrong with me. I told her my complaints, namely dry cough and a bad headache. She told me to strip to the waist and began to examine me. First she felt my pulse and took my blood pressure. Then she examined my throat and listened to my lungs. The doctor didn‘t think there was anything wrong with me, just a common cold.
So she wrote out a prescription for some medicine which she said would make me feel better. She also recommended me to stay in bed for several days.
