Global North and Global South The terms "Global North" and "Global South" divide the world in half both geographically. The
Global North contains all countries north of the Equator in the Northern Hemisphere and the
Global South holds all of the countries south of the Equator in the Southern Hemisphere
This classification groups the Global North into the rich northern countries, and the Global South
into the poor southern countries. This differentiation is based on the fact that most of developed
countries are in the north and most of the developing or underdeveloped countries are in the
south
Issue with this classification is that not all countries in the Global North can be called
"developed," while some of the countries in the Global South can be called developed
In the Global North some examples of the developing countries include Haiti, Nepal
Afghanistan, and many of the countries in northern Africa
In the Global South some examples of the well-developed countries include: Australia, South
Africa, and Chile Написать 2-3предложения связанные с этим текстом

The story tells us about a man and a lion who became best friends. One day a man, Androcles, tried to escape because he was a slave. In the forest into which he came, he found a hurt lion, whom he soon helped. Later they became friends and the lion even began to provide the man with food. After a while they were caught and taken to Rome, where they were given almost no food. The lion was offered to eat Androcles, which he did not, and the man managed to tell their story to The Emperor. Eventually they were released and given plenty of food.

The Tower of London is an ancient stone fortress in central London.

It stands on the bank of the River Thames.

The fortress was built by William the Conqueror, King William I.

They started to build it in 1078 and then the Tower was expanded during the thirteenth century.

At first the Tower was a fortress, then it was a prison and a place of execution.

Today the Crown Jewels are kept there.

The Crown Jewels is the collection of jewels owned by the British state, and sometimes worn by the monarch.

There is also a museum of armour in the Tower.

In the Tower of London you can see the so-called Beefeaters or Yeoman Warders who guard the fortress and give guided tours of it.

One of the Yeoman Warders is known as the Ravenmaster, responsible for the ravens that have been living here for centuries.
