After each term in school we had our holidays. It's fun to have holidays, you can do whatever you like, you don't have to get up too early, do your homework or think of troubles which occur very often at school.Most of all I liked summer holidays, they were the longest ones, though, when winter was snowy and frosty, I enjoyed my winter holidays skating and skiing, sledging and making a snowman or having a fight with snowballs.
I'd like to tell you about my summer holidays I spent in Sochi. It was just three years ago. My parents and me were sitting in the living-room discussing our plans for the summer holidays. My father suggested that we should go to Sochi. On hearing that I jumped up with joy and said it was a wonderful idea. My mother wasn't against the idea either.
So one summer morning we started for our journey to Sochi. First, we travelled to Odessa by plane and from there we got to Sochi by boat. We stayed in Odessa for three days, our relatives live there and they gave us board and lodging. So we had an excellent opportunity to go round the city, to see beautiful monuments to the famous people who had lived in Odessa, museums and the Odessa Opera House.
We enjoyed our trip from Odessa to Sochi. The Black Sea was calm. We sat on deck in the lounge chairs and looked atthe sea. I like Sochi very much. We bathed and went boating and swimming, lay in Jk the sun on the beach. In the evenings we went for a walk or dropped in at a cafe to have ice-cream or juice. My father showed us the famous Botanical Gardens, we went for hikes in the mountains, we saw the magnificent Augura Waterfalls.
Healthy life-style is really important nowadays.To be healthy you should eat healthy food like fruits and vegetables. And of course you should drink a lot. Water is life! And don't forget to do morning exercises! It gives you strength for a whole day. You should play sports, go jogging, play different games, and walk a lot. Any sport can help you to be healthy, fit and happy! Some people smoke and drink alcohol but it’s dangerous for a human organism. So to be healthy and fit it is important to eat useful food containing a lot of vitamins, be physically active and avoid stress!
Amerigo Vespucci (born March 9, 1454 in Florence; died February 22, 1512 in Seville) is an entrepreneur and Explorer, member of the Spanish and Portuguese expeditions to the New world. This part of the world, America, was named after him. From a family of businessman, received an excellent education at home, he studied mathematics and astronomy. After his father's death in 1478, he served in the banking house of Medici, from 1493 — the agent of this house in Seville and Cadiz. With 1495 engaged in the supply and training of overseas expeditions for the purpose of disembarkation of the colonists. 1500 entered the service in Portugal. In 1504, in Florence, came essay on astronomy under the title "Mundus Novus", a New Light, written on behalf of Vespucci. The authorship of this composition is disputed, it contains quite boastful passages, the style is different from that of letters 1502. However, the name "New Light" caught on, and then in honor of Amerigo cartographers named the name "Americus," the continent of this "New world". Amerigo Vespucci, in 1508 took Spanish citizenship until his death he filled the post of chief pilot of Spain.
