They both like it. It depends on which groups, of course. British seems to me more ... close in spirit to me, or what? I just can’t think of a word that defines the difference between the two schools.
I listen to British rock more when I want to relax, sit in a chair and join the river of music. American - for the same reason, but more often when traveling on the subway or feel a surge of strength.
