George Bernard Shaw was born in Dublin in 1856. At the age of 19 he moved to London. Bernard Show wanted to become a novelist. However, his novels were not successful and he gave up writing them. Soon his attention turned to the drama. Show wrote more than 50 plays. His best-known play is "Pygmalion". The main characters are Colonel Pickering, Professor Higgins and Eliza Doolittle.
