A lot of them die in the streets before they become mature. Some of them get seriously sick and their diseases can be transferred to humans or they can just get aggressive. Best case scenario they continue wandering for the rest of their lives, hide in the basements of the houses and look for food in landfills.
This situation is very upsetting that’s why every time I see a kitten or a puppy in the street I feel very sorry for them. I really want to pet it, feed it or take it home.
But you can’t take all the cats and dogs home. Luckily there are special shelters that become their home temporary. People who work their are usually volunteers that love animals and try to make their life better.
A lot of animals in shelters find their new home soon. People come to the shelter on their own in order to get a kitten or a puppy or sometimes they come to different charity events.

Но всех кошек и собак домой не возьмешь. К счастью, существуют специальные приюты, дающие братьям нашим меньшим временное пристанище. Работают там преимущественно волонтеры, которые любят животных и стараются сделать их жизнь как можно лучше.
Многие обитатели приютов вскоре обретают новый дом. Люди либо сами обращаются в такую организацию, чтобы взять котенка или щенка, либо приходят на благотворительные мероприятия.
