Although there are a lot of scientific laboratories that can predict an earthquake and inform people of a catastrophe approaching, there is no guarantee of avoiding it and saving people's lives as many of them ignore such information and stay inside their homes. Thus, it could be said that the number of lives saved during the natural disaster is equal to the number of individuals being aware of its dangerous effects.
