Americans eat a lot. They have three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Most of Americans don't eat at home but prefer to go to restaurants. They can choose from many kinds of restaurants. There are a great number of ethnic restaurants in the United States. Italian, Chinese and Mexican food is very popular. An American institution is the fast food restaurant, which is very convenient but not very healthy.
However, there are some principles of American cuisine (if we may call it so). Americans drink a lot of juices and soda; eat a lot of meat, fruits and vegetables, not much bread. In the morning Americans have cereal or scrambled eggs, milk or orange juice.
Chicken or fish, fried potatoes, vegetable salads, and dessert: this is the most common menu for lunch. Dinner is probably the most important meal of the day, some people have family dinner, when all members of family have to be there.
For dinner Americans usually have meat, fried or baked potatoes with ketchup or sour cream, corn, peas, sometimes macaroni and cheese or spaghetti; ice-cream, fruit or cake may be for dessert.
Turkey, ham and apple pie are traditional for Christmas and Thanksgiving Day dinners.

There are warm non-slip floors. My house has got bamboo wood floors. There are 4 rooms. There is a living-room, a kitchen, and there are two bedrooms, a pantry and a bathroom. My favourite room is my bedroom. In my room there is a big television, because I like to watch TV. In my room,there are a single bed,two pillows( one for hug),a blanket,sheet for bed and a duvet. I always change my pillow sheets and bed sheets once a week.I also love buying new bed sheet. Whenever I get a chance, I ask my mom to buy new ones for me. And there's a desk, a chair, a lamp and a bookshelf beside my bed. There's also a carpet in my room. My beloved cat really likes the carpet. It's warm enough to sleep for them. But, I don't like it as my cat cause I need to clean it every day. It makes a lot of work. There's a wardobe at the corner of my room. The colour of my room is ivory, one of my favourite colours. I love my room so much. I always change furnature' location in my room once a year. It turns out absolutely other room. New looks always carry fresh and happpiness.U shoud try it too.
