Cris: So, how did it go? Did you pass?
Alfie: No, I failed ... again!
Cris: I don’t believe it! How did you fail again? What 9. this time?
Alfie: You won’t believe it!
Cris: No? No way, Alfie, not the same as last time?
Alfie: Yep.
Cris: No way! Not another cat?
Alfie: I know! I’m in shock! I love cats!
Cris: So, what happened?
Alfie: Well, I 10. at a zebra crossing to let an old man cross the road. No problem there. He 11. across the road so I started to drive. Just then a cat appeared from nowhere!
Cris: Did you hit it?
Alfie: I did. It was impossible to stop.
Cris: I don’t believe you, Alfie. You’re joking, aren’t you? You didn’t fail, did you? Nobody can kill two cats on two driving tests!
Alfie: What can I say? I know - it’s totally crazy. The owner of the cat 12. ...
Cris: Oh no ... and?
Alfie: Well, he said it wasn’t my fault, the cat 13. from the garden ... the driving instructor 14.too. So, we carried on with the test, but I was too nervous and I 15 a red traffic light.
Cris: Poor you, mate! Do you want to come over?
Alfie: Yeah, OK. See you in five minutes.

I have always wanted to know more about the world, to see new places, to discover new sights, to learn more about different cultures. Luckily, my parents also like travelling, so each year during long summer vacations we pick one city or country to visit. If it was my turn to choose, I would pick Egypt, as I want to see one of the oldest constructions in the world – the pyramids and the sphinx. If I was an archaeologist, I would definitely try to find out more on how and when exactly they were built. There are so many myths about these sites that it is hard to know for sure which information is true. I know that the largest pyramid, the Pyramid of Khufu at Giza, is considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, which still exists. Speaking of the Great Sphinx, it is the oldest known monumental sculpture and the largest monolith statue in the world. How these attractions were built is a source of constant speculation and debate. Some say they were built by ancient Egyptians, while other researchers think that this tremendous amount of brute labor is beyond human power. It is believed that Egyptian Pyramids were built between 2589 BC and 2504 BC. They are now a visual testament to ancient planning and engineering. The Sphinx is associated with king Khafre, who ruled over 4,500 years ago. The Sphinx has a human head but the body of a lion and it was carved out of a huge white stone. I would really love to see these structures myself. There were other world wonders, such as the Hanging Gardens of Babylon or the Colossus of Rhodes, but none has lived up to present days.

я дуже чекала цієї поїздки.коли ми приїхали я здивувалася готичному стилю Лондона. але найбільше я хотіла побачити Національну галерею. Говорили що там твори відомих осіб навіть росіян.коли ми туди прибили я здивувалася розташуванням картин.

я очень ждала этой поездки.когда мы приехали я удивилась готическому стилю Лондона. но больше всего я хотела увидеть национальную галерею. Говорили что там произведения известных лиц даже русских.когда мы туда прибили я удивилась расположением картин.

I was really looking forward to this trip.when we arrived I was surprised by the Gothic style of London. but most of all, I wanted to see the national gallery. They said that there are works of famous people, even Russian.when we nailed it I was surprised by the location of the paintings.
