Dear Edwin,
Thanks a lot for your recent letter. I’m always glad to get your letters. Sorry, I couldn’t write to you earlier because I was too busy at school.
Anyway, things are better now and I’m ready to answer your questions about our school events. We don't have much of them: just holiday concerts and different sports events. As for me, I like our school New Year's parties most of all. We decorate a New Year tree, prepare a merry concert, sing, dance, play games and have fun.
By the way, I'm dying to learn what kind of dog you have adopted from the shelter? How old is it? What's its name? Who walks with the dog in the morning?
Well, I’d better go now as I have to do my housework.

Большое за твоё недавнее письмо. Я всегда рад получать твои письма. Извини, я не мог написать тебе раньше, потому что был слишком занят в школе.
Как бы то ни было, сейчас дела идут лучше, и я готов ответить на твои вопросы о наших школьных мероприятиях. У нас их не так уж много: только праздничные концерты и различные спортивные мероприятия. Что касается меня, то мне больше всего нравятся наши школьные новогодние вечера. Мы украшаем новогоднюю елку, готовим веселый концерт, поем, танцуем, играем в игры и веселимся.
Кстати, мне до смерти хочется узнать, какую собаку вы взяли из приюта? Сколько ему лет? Как его зовут? Кто гуляет с собакой по утрам?
Ну, а теперь я заканчиваю, потому что я должна делать ещё свою домашнюю работу.
