services on my mobile phone, but my battery had run out." My dad used his phone to call a breakdown truck, and soon it amived to tow the man's car away. "This is a disaster," he told us. "We were supposed to be going on holiday today, and now we're sure to

miss our flight it takes off at 8:35 am."The 8.35 flight to Alicante?" I asked. "That's our flight!" "Come on." said my dad. Wancing at his watch. "Grab your bags and get in. We can still make it!" We were all really anxious as dad was driving to the airport carefully. Luckily, there was no traffic on the roads and we arrived just in time to catch our flight. holidays. We celebrate them all together and sometime invite other family members and friends.But there are some holidays that we don’t celebrate, but speak about history and respect that tradition. Well I mean Victory Day. I think it’s a great and important holiday, that every person has to respect.We celebrate Victory Day in May 9. This is the day when the Great Patriotic War was finished. Our people fought a lot and suffered too much. We didn’t expect the beginning of that war, but German soldiers attacked us. My grandparents and my great grandparents were protecting our country as much as they could, but many our relatives died. We have a photo album with some pictures of that time and keep this memories.At school we speak a lot about the Great Patriotic War and organize concerts on Victory Day. We invite some veterans and give them presents.In the evening I go to the center with all my family. Victory Day is a day off, so people can go out and enjoy this time. We have a great concert on that day, street market and huge fireworks. Everyone enjoys this holiday, because we don’t really know what tragedy had happened in past. We read a lot about it, we watch movies, listen to the stories but can not even imagine what the war is.I always say a lot of thanks to my grandparents and all veterans who protected our country. They sacrificed themself to give us future that we have now. And we must remember it foreverПЕРЕВОД: Моя семья уважает и любит разные праздники. Мы приглашаем ветеранов и дарим им подарки.Вечером мы идём на центр города всей семьёй. В День Победы у всех выходной, поэтому, люди выходят на прогулку и наслаждаются этим временем. В центре города проходит концерт, ярмарка и запускаются фейерверки. Каждый наслаждается этим праздником, потому что не знаем, какая большая трагедия произошла в Мы много читаем об этом, смотрим фильмы, слушаем истории, но даже не представляем, что такое война на самом деле.Я всегда благодарю своих дедушку и бабушку и всех ветеранов, которые защищали нашу страну. Они жертвовали собой, чтобы дать нам будущее, которое мы имеем. А мы должны помнить это всегда.
