The crown princess of the small northern kingdom, Elsa, was born with an amazing gift. She knows how to manage ice and cold. For years, the girl has been happy to build ice castles in the middle of the ballroom for her younger sister Anna, until one day an unsuccessfully launched piece of ice almost kills the baby. Frightened parents turn to the troll wizard for help, and he brings Anna to her senses, at the same time erasing all memories of her sister's magic from her memory. After this incident, the king forbids the princess to practice witchcraft and orders her to stay away from Anna and other people. By the time Elsa reaches adulthood, her parents are dead at sea and the princess is crowned as queen. However, the stress of the coronation and the ball after many years of actual imprisonment turns out to be an overwhelming test for Elsa. She breaks down, uses magic and, unable to contain herself, freezes the entire kingdom, and then runs high into the mountains, where she builds an ice fortress for herself. A dumbfounded Anna follows her sister, hoping to convince her to disenchant the country. Together with her, her new friends go on a hike - the stately highlander Kristoff and the snowman Olaf, revived by Elsa's magic. Meanwhile, the foreigners gathered for the coronation decide to get rid of both girls and take over the kingdom.
