из этого текста составить рассказ (содержание) от 3-го лица . нужно где-то7-8 предложение. The Proms are very old. The first Proms concert took place on10 August 1895. Its original aim was to offer classical music to as manypeople as possible. It was the idea of Robert Newman, the manager of theQueen’s Hall in London. While Newman had organised symphony orches-tra concerts at the hall, his aim was to reach more people by offeringmore popular programmes and a less formal behaviour and keeping ticketprices very low. The concerts are called the Promenade concerts becausethe people can stand or walk during the performance. Once in the springof 1894 Newman invited Henry Wood to the Queen’s Hall to talk aboutthe project. Henry Wood was a well-known musician and a popularconductor. “I am going to hold the concerts to train the people who cometo listen to some good music and to create a new atmosphere for it.I want to teach people to love and to listen to classical and modernmusic,” said Newman. In February 1894 Newman offered Wood the jobof the conductor of the Queen’s Hall orchestra and of the first Promsseason. The concert series was known as “Mr Robert Newman’s Prome-nade Concerts” and the programmes were very successful. Henry Woodintroduced to the Proms many famous composers and some of the bestmusicians. He conducted the Proms for 50 years. His last concert wason 28 July 1944. He died three weeks later but the Proms didn’tdie. They continued into the second half of the century and into thethird millennium with outstanding British musicians. Now they includeover 70 concerts every year. The Proms continue to welcome popularinternational performers. Today you can hear every Prom on the radioand almost every Prom can now be heard on the Proms website fora week after the concert.
