Choose the statement is true or false, or the information is not given. The author thinks that even though Conan Doyle wrote a number of other novels, Stories of Sherlock Holmes brought him fame and recognition.

текст
Arthur Conan Doyle, a famous British writer was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1859. He got his popularity for his creation of the detective Sherlock Holmes, one of the most vivid characters in English fiction.
Conan Doyle was brought up in a big family. He was the second of 10 children. When he turned nine years old he began his education in Lancashire, England. After an additional year of schooling in Feldkirch, Austria, Conan Doyle returned to Edinburgh. After that he decided to enter the University of Edinburgh’s Medical School. He received Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Surgery qualifications from Edinburgh in 1881.
While a medical student, Conan Doyle was deeply impressed by the skill of his professor, Dr. Joseph Bell, in observing the most minute detail regarding a patient’s condition. This master of diagnostic deduction became the model for Conan Doyle’s literary creation, Sherlock Holmes, who first appeared in A Study in Scarlet, a story published in Beeton’s Christmas Annual of 1887.
Conan Doyle managed to create the “world’s first and only consulting detective,” who was logical, cold, and calculating. Driven by the public, Conan Doyle continued writing Sherlock Holmes adventures. His short stories were collected in several volumes, and he also wrote novels (e.g., The Hound of the Baskervilles).

Languages are very important nowadays, especially foreign ones.My first language is Russian.I've learnt it since my childhood.I've started learning foreign languages in the school.I've begun learning English in the second grade. My first English teacher was Elena Victorovna. My first lesson was very funny,we started to learn alphabet with use of cards where fruits, vegetables and animals were painted. Also we learnt English fairytales,we read them every lesson. The most interesting English lesson was the open lesson. We conducted it in the 5 grade. We conducted math I'm English. The topic was "learning of fractions".There were lots of teachers from different schools.I was given a poem and firstly I was reading it in Russian and then in English.Everyone liked our lesson and people had been talking about it for a long time I can't say that I have good level of English,it's hard for me to speak in it,but I improve it every day.I watch American bloggers on YouTube, read Twitter in English, watch tv-series and movies with subtitles and read books every day.I like learning English so much

English is an international means of communication. Many people learn English for work or for travelling. About 20% of the world's population speak English. It can help you to understand people if you are abroad. You can also read books or watch filmes in original. I study English because it is necessary for career growth and my future development. English is very interesting, but it’s difficult for me yet. I hope I will know this language well in the future. Certainly, the language that unites the peoples of the world is important for society. But we shouldn’t forget the consequences’ scale of the mass adoption of a foreign language. For example, studying French was widely spread in the beginning of the 19th century (eventually - The War of 1812). In the 20th century German caused two world wars (both mainly provoked by Germany). Now it is the 21st century, the century of progress and technologies. The English language is spreading around the world, so can’t we avoid the war with the USA and Great Britain or maybe with the EU? Probably we have to just remember that fanaticism and widescale oblivion have already showed us 3 centuries of people’s madness. I admit that I am not an opponent of linguistics and foreign languages. After tracing the logic chain, I just believe it is worth considering about the upcoming world language domination and countries speaking it.
