1. People are motivated to make new inventions by their thirst for knowledge, curiosity, willingness to help to improve life, by future popularity in some ways and, of course, by many other factors.

2. In my opinion progress in science and technology influences people's lifestyle greatly. It's difficult to imagine modern life without the computer, TV, electricity, cars, trains, planes and so on.

4. To my mind, the greater the progress in our life, the better the quality of life of people.

5. On the one hand the world is changing for the better, but on the other hand more pollution of the air, water and land.

6. I would like to live in my time, I can't imagine my life without modern conveniences and new technologies.
