   Программы по радио и по  телевидении могут упоминаться как передачи или как шоу, особенно на американском варианте английского языка. Программы или шоу по радио и телевидению часто представляются или принимаются хозяином программы. Программы популярной музыки представлены диск-жокеями или ди-джеями. Программы новостей могут приниматься, выходить или закрепляться символами , известными самостоятельно, иногда более известными, чем люди в новостях. В более традиционных программах новостей новости прочитаны дикторами. Журналисты  и корреспонденты или телевизионные журналисты, делают отчеты. Они и операторы, которые идут с ними, являются собирателями новостей. Вместе они формируют телевизионные команды. Дикторы - ТВ и радио-организации, люди, работающие на них, или, более определенно, профессиональные медийные лица, которые фактически участвуют в программах. Программы и отчеты передаются или транслируются в прямом эфире, в прямом репортаже с событиями, которые, замечены  или услышаны , как они происходят, или зарегистрированы  для передачи позже. Запись случая может упоминаться как видеозапись того события.
