The main street of Washington it's (пенсильвания) avenue. She conects White Home and capitol. Avenue runs from the southeast of Maryland in the north-east to Georgetown. The length of the street directly in Washington - 11 km, the most important of its plot from the White House to the Capitol is 1.9 km. The southeastern part of the Avenue (total length of it is 29 km) runs through the area of Capitol Hill, then across the river Anacostia included in Maryland (23.3 km), where it ends at the intersection with the road from MD408 Ueyson Corner near the river Patuxent. Then continues as an avenue of Southern Maryland. North-western part of Pennsylvania Avenue for the White House runs 2.3 km north-west and ends at M-Street in Georgetown.
