The Great Barrier Reef. (Большой Барьерный Риф) Australia’s natural treasure (природный Австралии сокровища) Welcome to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef! The 2,000-kilometre long reef is the largest coral reef system in the world - it is so big that it can be seen from space! Like many other coral reefs in the world the Great Barrier Reef is in danger. The numbers of fish and other creatures that live here have fallen drastically in recent years because of pollution. We need your help to protect this unique ecosystem.

The sea around the reef has been seriously harmed over the years, but you can help reverse this. don't throw rubbish into the sea as it may contain chemicals that will pollute the water. Rubbish might also float to the surface, which isn't pretty for anyone to look at! Help us to keep the water crystal cleat so that it can be enjoyed by everyone. Many species of fish are in danger of extinction and therefore protected by law. the same goes for shellfish and other crearures. They may look beautiful but remember the reef is their home. how would you feel if someone pickes you up and took you far away from your home? Please help us to conserve Australia’s natural treasure so that it can be enjoyed for generations to come! Lora came to visit Lucy. They began to unpack the boxes with some old stuff.
While they were looking at the stuff, they heared strange sounds and Lucy's cat ran around the house and cried as though it saw somebody. But the girls didn't pay attention to it.
When they lay in the bed, the window opened suddenly inspite of the fact that the wind was not blowing. They thought that it was Lucy's brother who wanted to play a joke at them and they fell asleep. At night, Lora woke up because of strange noise. Somebody was walking about the kitchen and was opening the doors of the cupboards. She woke Lucy and they went to the kitchen. There was nobody there, but the window was opened. They closed the window and went to sleep, but they couldn't do it for a long time. After they woke up they went to the kitchen and saw the window opened and the stuff scattered everywhere.
The girls were scared. Since then Lucy and Lora sleep only with turning up light.
