There are a lot of kinds of mass media nowadays such as the radio, newspapers, the Internet and so on. The radio is believed to be the cheapest type of getting new information today, newspapers are the oldest type and the Internet is actually the most modern. Anyway, my favourite type of mass media is TV. With the help of the television we can receive information about any event that happens around the world if the programme on this topic is on. This type of mass media is the most suitable for lonely and disabled people as they can spend their free time watching it. I think that color TV is the better than black and white one because it can represent people and things in different colours and in more detail. Usually there are a lot of channels and this is one of the biggest advantages of television. If you have a big quantity of channels on your TV, you can choose any of them. But this kind of mass media also has some disadvantages. It can damage your eyes very badly if you watch television for long or if you sit too close to the screen. Many people have a satellite TV and if there is a storm ir a strong wind, the TV antenna can be broken and TV can't be avaliable at all! And the worst think is that usually when we watch television a lot we don't have any time left for our family and friends. But I think my family deals with it quite well. I like watching television with my family very much. Everyone enjoys evenings when we all come together and have a wonderful meal cooked by my mother. After the supper my father turns on TV and we watch educational programmes, sport events or some old films. While watching it we usually talk over some everyday problems. I believe that TV is the best way to bring people together!
