In the north Atlantic off north west Europe there is a beautiful country called Ireland (or the Republic of Ireland). It is an English-speaking country although it also has its own language.
Its capital and largest city is Dublin, which is located on the eastern side of the island. The country isn't big, there are about 5 million people living there. The Irish are friendly and hospitable people who are famous for their wit and humour.
