Спереводом the novosibirsk state teacher training university is one of the oldest institutions of our city where young people can get a higher education. in 1935 the evening teacher training institute was founded in novosibirsk. there were only four departments in it. 109 students were trained there. in 1940 the department for full-time students was opened. the first institute’s intake was 252 students. in 1968 the institute began constructing a new building that was completed in 1975. the building was designed by the architect m.m.pirogov. the campus includes educational buildings, the dining hall, the polyclinic, the sanatorium, the kindergarten, the workshops, the gymnasium, the stadium. well-equipped laboratories and lecture-rooms with modern equipment: computers and a control system are at the students’ disposal. there is also a rich library with two reading-rooms, a beautiful conference hall, good hostels for students and postgraduates. there are also a lot of other facilities. our university trains specialists for public education. there are about 10 thousand daytime students and 20 thousand of correspondence ones. there are different faculties and institutes at our university. among them there is the faculty of foreign languages, the faculty of mathematics, the faculty of physics, the faculty of further education, the faculty of psychology, the faculty of primary schooling, the faculty of pre-school pedagogics, the sport faculty, the faculty of technology and business. and also the institute of natural sciences and economics, the institute of history and humanitarian education, the institute of philology, psychology and mass media, the institute of arts, the institute of advertisement and public relations. more than 60% of teachers’ staff have candidate’s and doctor’s degrees. they do important research work. students can attend their lectures. they can also take part in their seminars and discuss various scientific problems with them. there are also many postgraduate students at our university. they must do research work and solve problems in various branches of science. the academic year has two terms and twice a year the students take exams and credit tests. if they pass the exams well they get a grant. the students’ life is very interesting. they take an active part in the social life of the university. they often arrange the concerts of home talents, different contests. they also take part in sport competitions. the course of studies at the university lasts 5 years. after graduating from the university the students receive a secondary school teachers’ diploma. if the graduates have a gift for research work they can take a postgraduate course to improve their qualification and to get the right of teaching in universities, institutes and colleges. many graduates of our university now work in different parts of the country and some of them hold major posts. we have every reason to be proud of our university. vocabulary prominent – department, faculty – факультет to be trained – обучаться to design – проектировать the campus – студ. городок daytime students – студенты дневного обучения correspondence students – студенты -заочники interpreter – переводчик to graduate from – заканчивать институт foreign – иностранный to supply – снабжать to be engaged – быть занятым research – исследовательский psychology – психология curriculum – учебный график to deliver a lecture читать лекцию to lecture on primary – начальный further (additional) – дополнительный to acquire – приобретать, получать ancient – древний well equipped – хорошо оборудованный a bachelor’s degree – степень магистра appropriate – подходящий, соответствующий to improve – улучшать a master’s degree – степень магистра relation – отношение preliminary – подготовительный to carry out – проводить applicant – абитуриент course – курс to divide – делить extra-mural, correspondence department – заочное отделение
высшее образование. В 1935 Вечерний педагогический институт был основан в Новосибирске. Там были только четырех отделов в нем. 109 студенты обучались там. В 1940 кафедры для студентов очной формы обучения была открыта. Первый институт это потребление было 252 учащихся. В 1968 г. Институт начал строительство нового здания, которое было завершено в 1975 году. Здание было построено по проекту архитектора М. М. Пирогова. Кампус включает в себя учебные корпуса, столовой, поликлиники, санатория, детского сада, мастерских, спортзала, стадиона. Хорошо оснащенные лаборатории и кабинеты с современным оборудованием: компьютеры и система управления, находятся в распоряжении студентов. Здесь также имеется богатая библиотека с двумя читальными-номера, красивый конференц-зал, хорошие общежития для студентов и аспирантов. Есть также множество других объектов. Наш Университет готовит специалистов для народного образования. Насчитывается около 10 тысяч студентов дневного и 20 тыс. переписки и близких. Существуют разные факультеты и институты нашего университета. Среди них-факультет иностранных языков, факультет математики, факультет физики, факультет дополнительного образования, факультет психологии, факультет начального образования, факультет дошкольной педагогики, спорта факультета, факультета технологии и предпринимательства. А также Институт естественных наук и экономики, Институт истории и гуманитарного образования, Института филологии, психологии и массовой информации, Института искусств, Института рекламы и связи с общественностью. Более 60% преподавателей имеют кандидатские и докторские степени. Они делают чрезвычайно важную исследовательскую работу. Студенты могут посещать их лекции. Они могут также принять участие в их семинарах и обсуждения различных научных проблем с ними. Есть также много аспирантов в нашем университете. Они должны заняться научно-исследовательской работой и решить проблемы в различных отраслях науки. Академический год имеет два положения и два раза в год студенты сдают экзамены и зачетов. Если они сдадут экзамены хорошо они получают Грант. В студенческой жизни очень интересные. Они принимают активное участие в общественной жизни университета. Они часто устраивают концерты дому таланты, разные конкурсы. Они также принимают участие в спортивных соревнованиях. Курс обучения в университете длится 5 лет. После окончания университета студенты получают в средней школе учителя диплом. Если у выпускников есть подарок для исследовательской работы они могут взять в аспирантуру, чтобы повысить свою квалификацию и получить право преподавания в университетах, институтах и колледжах. Многие выпускники нашего университета работают сейчас в разных частях страны и некоторые из них занимают крупные посты. У нас есть все основания гордиться нашим университетом
