Winter - wonderful time not only for a vacation which turn in two weeks of magic holidays. In fact for this time it is possible not only to have a rest from lessons, to sleep in plenty, to see enough transfers on the TV, to play enough in computer games, and also to chat by phone with the girl-friend and to esteem favourite books. Winter are the trees covered by a snow and roofs of houses, these are the frozen ponds which have turned skating rinks, these are icicles hanging down from roofs, snow hills and snowballs. And still it is New Year, Christmas, elegant fur-trees, gifts and fancy dresses, he/she is the Grandfather the Frost and the Snow Maiden still more many-many any fantastic characters! And when will bother to celebrate or simply to sit at home - run on street! And there... Throw to itself on health snowballs, skate or on санках, and it is possible on skis, yes from a hill! Набегаешься so, напрыгаешься - and at all you do not feel a cold! And sometimes so will fall asleep you a snow, or children so will throw snowballs that you become similar to the Snow Maiden. Зима - это покрытые снегом деревья и крыши домов, это замерзшие пруды, превратившиеся в катки, это свисающие с крыш сосульки, снежные горки и снеговики.А еще это Новый Год, Рождество, нарядные елки, подарки и маскарадные костюмы, это Дед Мороз и Снегурочка и еще много-много всяких сказочных персонажей! А когда надоест праздновать или просто сидеть дома - бегом на улицу! А там... кидайся себе на здоровье снежками, катайся на коньках или на санках, а можно на лыжах, да с горки ! Набегаешься так, напрыгаешься - и совсем не чувствуешь холода! А иногда так засыплет тебя снегом, или ребята так забросают снежками,что становишься похожей на Снегурочку. Или на снежную бабу. И тогда кажется, что все снеговики в округе - твои друзья. Или даже родственники. Вот поэтому дети и любят гулять зимой. Ведь зимние каникулы пролетают очень быстро!
My winter holiday was great! We celebrated New Year. I celebrated with my family and then with my friends. It was fun. I like this holiday. Every day I got up late. Then I played computer games or communicated with my friends on the Internet. One day we went to the cinema. We saw a horror film. I went with my friends and it was fun. I liked it. When the weather was nice we went for a walk or skied or skated. We made a snowman, sledded and played at snowballs. In the evening I read a book or watch TV or played chess with my best friend. I liked my holiday. I gathered strength and had good time.

War / ВойнаSummary: Chapter 1- Human beings since the beginning of time have not been able to escape war. There has always been some sort of conflict between each other since the beginning of time. War always seems to bring a sense of reason with it or need to the people. It makes them feel like we are fighting for a just cause. This past century war has been at its worst. This last one hundred or so years have been the goriest of times. It seems like every so many years there is war being fought. People around the world today have had an urge to go to war, even though there might not be a exact cause of it. For example the two major wars in the past few decades: one being Vietnam, and the other in Iraq. There seems to be no exact cause of fighting in these wars. People better start to realize that war is not always the answer.
Summary Chapter 2- If you take a look back into history there have been a ton of wars fought before and after the birth of Christ. When the bombs were dropped in 1945, it has effected the world in more ways then we could have ever imagined. Peace in a way is a lot like war, because it takes more than one person to decide to have peace. It is a lot easier to go to war, then to have a peaceful settlement. There is always a need to take an eye for an eye. As Ghandhi once said «An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind». I think that statement is true when going to war, it never seems like anyone is the winner in the long run.
Summary Chapter 3- People often have a different reality then what is out there. Most people go through each day the same way. Well there are other things going on in the world that people have no reality of. They live in their own comfortable reality. We all have magical or mythical realities. This is where we fascinate about other parts outside
