There are many health benefits to living outside of the city, or even in the suburbs: clean air and an abundance of foliage are enough to convince many city-dwellers that country living is for them.
But services such as municipal water and sewage disposal are often a rarity in very rural areas. In city areas, it is fairly easy to access transportation with city bus systems and taxis. The opposite is the case in rural areas: without your own transportation, it is difficult to get around.
With greater distances between houses, even getting groceries can be a difficulty. So if a person loses his / her driver's license or vehicle for some reason, it's a real hardship in a rural area. It has been said that village life encourages a greater sense of community and gives some perspective on what is important. When a family faces a hardship, often those in a rural community are quick to help wherever they can.
If there is a death in the family, members of the community are right there with condolences. If someone falls ill, the community pulls together to raise money for the family. The reactions to these kinds of situations are much different in urban areas. Many city-dwellers don't know their neighbours beyond a "hello" as they pass each other in the hall. Some don't even say that much. Perhaps they feel they don't need their neighbours, way people in the rural areas have come to depend on theirs.
People in rural areas organise more events together than urbanites do. From church dinners to local fairs, to the community's summer barbecue, most people have their fingers in the pie, in one way or another. It is these types of events that help to bring a community together, because those who attend can claim ownership of the event.
In urban areas, special events are often competing against each other, since there are often many happening at the same time. Many people who attend these urban events haven't got any particular sense of pride for them, as they are just spectators of the event, not coordinators.
While one could argue that city life is more exciting and at times more convenient, it's not necessarily better than country life.
United Kingdom is the country where everyone can find a place. Artists, photographers, writers and other creative people are searching inspiration there. The monuments of different epochs are located in England. GB is famous with the haunted house, the historic and worldwide famous universities, the famous English pubs, etc.
London is the capital of Great Britain. That’s bright, noisy, full of people, ideas and active life in the center of Britain. Silence, peace, of London are full of complete image of old city. Almost every part of country is travel in the past. Every street, every park, every square have its history. Nobody can get tired or bored there. “Tired of London is tired of life,” Samuel Johnson.
The United Kingdom is famous for the weather, rather wet and foggy climate. For smb it’s curst but for me it’s attractive. I don’t like rain but I like the wet London. I think I haven’t many supporters, and Oscar Wilde is among the people who would challenge my opinion. He told “I don`t desire to change anything in England except the weather”.
I think now is the time to discuss the English culture. English tea, the punctual and friendly Englishman is an integral part of the submissions of the UK. I cannot say about loyalty of these words because I`ve never been there. We can only trust the eyewitnesses and enjoy the sweet picture of the country.
England has a great variety of historical, literary and cinematic monuments. Incidentally the word “monument” is not only the architectural building, but also the cultural heritage.
Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, Trafalgar Square, Hyde Park, Tower Bridge and Stonehenge are the famous historical monuments.
I have a special attitude to literary monuments. Many talented people, whose childhood is associated with England, were world famous. For example: Arthur Conan Doyle is famous for the stories about the great detective Sherlock Holmes, Daniel Defoe is famous for the novel Robinson Crusoe, Joanne Rowling wrote the series of novels about Harry Potter. Creativity of Arthur Conan Doyle was reflected on the streets of London: the regular museum flat of Sherlock Holmes and monument to Mr. Holmes was opened in London on Bakes street 221B (It must be noted that these attractions the British government has classified a historical monument). Wilcock village in Wiltshire and Gallery of Gloucester Cathedral in Gloucester are known by every admirer of the novels about Harry Potter by JK Rowling.
I would have classified the series of Harry Potter and the TV series Sherlock to modern famous movies of English cinema. Famous actors, who have played the top roles in these films, come from England. There are Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Benedict Cumberbatch. I cannot mention the world famous British actors, talking about the UK film industry. There are Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, Helena Bonham Carter, etc.
Everything written above is important in my life. When I read the works of Conan Doyle, JK Rowling, I have met with the UK since childhood, their works instilled me love to England. It`s the only thing that I can explain my affection. There are moments when in my head spinning thoughts in English appear, and I do not think about their translation, I simply understand them. My English teacher said that the best way to learn English is to learn to think in English. And I think that writing about favorite country the UK and without the knowledge of the English culture - it is unnatural and illogical. I. Alekseev said: "... to love England - it means to be an Englishman "
