Elsa is 21 years old at the time of her coronation, and the age difference between her and Anna is about 3.5 years (Anna is 18 years old at the time of her coronation). Elsa is the Queen of Arendelle, from birth with the gift of creating snow and ice, and from the outside she appears restrained and withdrawn, although a real storm of emotions is raging inside her - she has to live in fear and constantly suppress her magical gift. But one day she inadvertently touches her younger sister Anna with magic and puts her in danger. Since then, Elsa has been forced to hide from the outside world, keeping everyone who is dear to her, including her sister, at a distance. At the ball after her coronation, Elsa, angry at the announcement of the wedding of Anna and Hans, again cannot cope with her magical gift and plunges Arendelle into the power of eternal winter. Fearing that she might do more harm, the newly-made queen escapes from her castle and hides high in the mountains, convinced that no one can help her.
