Like any other young person, Theresa Mullins grew up with the 1)__expectation_ that she would leave school and get a job. But even with 2) qualifications from school, she found it 3) impossible to find a job and two years after leaving school, was very 4) disillusioned about the possibility of ever getting a job. The 5) length of time she had been unemployed added to her problem, as potential 6) employers were suspicious about why she had not been able to get a job. So, six months ago, Theresa started analysing all the job 7) advertisements in her local newspaper to see what type of 8) occupations were most in demand. Apart from the fact she is 9) inexperienced, her research showed she didn’t have the right computer skills, and her typing was 10) substandard and too slow. The situation made her feel 11) worthless yet Theresa has changed all this by going to college and working on an interactive computer course. She has already been offered a job at the end of the course.
