No one really knows how many millions of species of wildlife exist on Earth, but one thing is for sure, plants and animals are all around us! Some live in the woodlands, rivers, hedgerows and ponds in and around our neighbourhoods. Others live in our school playgrounds, private gardens or even in the tiny spaces between grains of sand!
THE BIG PROBLEM
Unfortunately, as towns and cities get bigger, humans are destroying these habitats. To build more houses and roads they are cutting down trees in woodlands and forests, which are home to animals such as foxes, otters, red squirrels and hedgehogs and beautiful plants
1)One cold autumn day, a grey duckling run away from the the farm yard and went to the swamp. Two funny ducks came up to him and asked why he was so ugly, what kind of breed he was, they began compare him with themselves, but the duckling didn't know why he was like that. Then he met two fat geese and wanted to fly with them, but they refused him, saying that he was so strange, and flew away.At this time hunters came up to the swamp, with four big dogs, one of which swam to the duckling and sniffed him, but didn't touch. The saddened duckling walked along the pond and thought about why he was so ugly and was looking for food. In this moment, the duckling came upon a bush, climbed into it and fell asleep.
