"Мой друг, — сказала она, — в городе у нас много лучшей еды, чем эта. Ты должна прийти и увидеть, где я живу. Я угощу тебя многими вкусными вещами".
Городская и сельская мыши пошли в город. Когда они пришли к большому дому, городская мышь сказала: "Я живу здесь. Зайди, посмотри мой дом".
Они вошли в большую комнату. Там был длинный стол. "Ты можешь есть что угодно", — сказала городская мышь.
На столе сельская мышь увидела тарелки с хорошей едой. Посередине стола находился большой торт и много других вкусных вещей.
"Мы должны быстро поесть, — сказала городская мышь. — Здесь кот".
"Нет сказала сельская мышь, — я иду домой. Этот дом не для меня. Мой домик маленький, и моя еда не очень хорошая, но я счастлива в поле со всей своей семьей, и там нет кота, который может съесть меня".

A country mouse lived in a field. A mouse from the town came to see the country mouse. The country mouse gave the town mouse dinner, but the town mouse did not like this dinner.
“My friend”, he said, “in town we have much nicer food than this. You must come and see where I live. I shall give you all kinds of good things to eat”.
The town mouse and the country mouse went to town. When they came to a big house the town mouse said, “I live here. Come and see my house”.
They went into a big room. There was a long table in it. “You can eat anything you like”, said the town mouse.
On the table, the country mouse saw plates of nice food. There was a large cake in the middle of the table, and a lot of other tasty things.
“We must eat quickly”, said the town mouse. “There is a cat here”.
“No, thank you”, said the country mouse. “I’m going home. This house is not for me. My house is small, and my food is not very good, but I’m happy in the field with all my family and no cat that can eat me”.
