I remember a story which happened to me one day when I wasn't at home. I was away on holiday with my family and my best friend. We were sitting at the cafe and drinking tea. I was telling my brother how difficult my life was, as I had to go to school and I had neither good work nor enough money to buy my own car.
Suddenly I saw a nice girl and couldn't believe my eyes. She was gorgeous and she looked like a famous actress. I knew her because of her movies. At first I felt a bit shy but then I had a great idea. I thought for a while and decided to come to her and have a small talk. There were many people around as and it took me ten minutes to pull myself together. So I put my cup on the table, took my camera and came to the girl. I said sorry for disturbance and explained the situation to her. She had a nice smile, she looked happy and she didn't mind making a photo with her.
We had a small talk and it turned out that she needed my help. She wanted to go sightseeing but couldn't find a guide. I was in the city for the third time and knew it well.
So I was happy to show her around the city. She wanted to eat local food and to see a new district.
Everything was fine till the moment when I heard about her life. That girl travelled around the world, she wrote many songs, she very often moved from one place to another and she had a lot of money. At that moment she lived in Italy. Frankly speaking I was jealous of her life, as it was totally different from mine and I didn't want to help her any more. I only wanted to stop our acquaintance as soon as possible.
When she called the next day I said sorry and explained that my family were invited to an important party and it was difficult for me to decline the invitation. She was upset but thanked to me for my help.
It was more than five year ago but the same idea comes to me every day. How I could lie to her and turn her down so atrociously.
I finished school, got a wellpaid job and bought a new car. But as I am writing these lines my conscience is not clear.
