Sociologists from one university asked Kazakhstanis what they are passionate (увлечены) about in their free time and what hobby they like, and asked to mark (отметить) one, the most preferred (предпочтительный) option (вариант) for spending their leisure time (досуг, свободное время).
Relaxing in a cafe with friends is the most popular answer of Kazakhstanis to the question about their favorite hobby. Such a pastime (времяпровождение) is defined (определять) as a hobby by 13.3% of survey participants (участники).
Rest (отдых) with friends helps us to get away from everyday problems, plunge headlong (погрузиться с головой) into the world of fun and happiness, give rest to our nerves and get many new impressions (впечатления).
I am quite an active and sociable person and, like many Kazakhstanis, I like to spend time with friends and have fun with them. I think this can also be called my almost (почти) main hobby.
