The story is banal in its simplicity. There is a boy tormented by loneliness, living with his mother and older sister. And became, obviously owing to it, too rigid in relation to households. Of course, the boy has the complex - the fear of water, which he overcomes thanks to a new friend somewhere in the middle of the film. Really evil villains in the film are not observed (bulldog, soldier, hunter, soldier, chef, captain and a couple of local people, dreaming to catch a lake monster not too pull on this role). The end is simple: "free-will", and all rallied to help find the will of the latter.And at the end alien can be only one... The curtain is over. All cry from happiness. And how many such films-fantasy and family filmed? And few of them can boast of a special originality. Me personally when watching this film reminded of "the Chronicles of Narnia".
