The Lost City
The Inca people built Machu Picchu in about 1450, at a place high in the Andes Mountains. Made from stone. Machu Picchu had 200 buildings, including houses and temples.
Experts believe Machu Picchu was mainly used as a religious center, and normally had a population of about 300. In the winter months (June - August), visitors including royal family members came to Machu Picchu to escape the extreme cold of the capital, Cusco. At these times, the city was filled with over 1,000 people.
For nearly 100 years, Machu Picchu was a busy, peaceful city. Then, in 1532, the Inca people left the city. Machu Picchu, once a city of great strength, was left empty and forgotten for many centuries. Eventually the ancient site was found by an American explorer Hiram Bingham, in 1911.
While Peru wants to encourage people from abroad to visit Machu Picchu, the country is also worried about negative influences of tourism. For this reason, only 500 people are all wed to climb the popular Inca Trail cach day.
It seemed like an unbeleivable dream... What could this place. be? Why had no one given us any idea of it? Hiram Bingham

I'm glad that you are doing well. in a previous letter you asked me about my trip to Australia and in this letter I would like to answer you. You can visit Australia at any time of the year.
But I liked spring more.
Since the spring in Australia is a blooming, full of riot of colors and scents, season. It's hard to believe, but in November the temperature reaches up to 35 degrees Celsius - the real tropics. This is the brightest and most beautiful season. Plants bloom with the most colorful and unusual colors , the air is filled with the aromas of jasmine, citrus and ocean breeze.
Speaking about the places to visit, I would advise a career reef.
The barrier reef is the most important sight of Australia. One of those natural wonders that completely consists of corals. This wonderful reef is considered one of the wonders of the world. This reef is rich in flora and fauna. Over the reef, planes and helicopters, in which tourists admire this attraction Australia from a bird's eye view. Most people come from all over the world to swim with scuba diving and take pictures of those wonderful fish that are there. The big barrier reef includes 70 coral islands. As for my impressions, everything surprised me. Nature, the surrounding people and many beautiful sights. Perhaps I will finish this. I hope I helped you by answering your questions.
