Моё лето хорошо. В июне я поехал на дачу. Там я купался, загорал, играл с друзьями в футбол, и бабушке и дедушке на даче. Мы собирали грибы, яблоки, картошку и огурцы. В июле я поехал вместе со своими родителями на море. В отеле было очень много горок, на которых я катался много и получал массу удовольствия. Также в море я видел много красивых и необычных рыбок. А в августе я уже готовился к школе. Я читал много книжек, повторял уроки и ездил в магазин за канцтоварами. Я отлично провел летние каникулы!
On Sunday we went an a day trip to London. It (was raining) when we (started) and a strong wind (was blowing). But when we (arrived), the rain had already (stopped) and only little white clouds (were flying) across the sky. We (were) sure we (would have) a wonderful day. And we (did). We (visited) the National Gallery and (felt) quite happy. After that we (saw) a colorful procession (walking) along the Mall. At 2 o'clock our group (was) in the Tower of London. There we (were told) a lot of legends: about the ravens who (live) there and about the kings and queens who (had lived) there. It had already (become) quite hot when we (left) the Tower. So, our teacher (lead) us to Hyde Park where we (found) some shady place and (watched) the ducks (floating) in the water.
The annual carnival in Rio-de-Janeiro is a bright festival. People dance, play music and sing. Everyone is happy and full of joy. Paraders wear colourful costumes. Some of them are really exotic and extravagant. The weather is usually fine and warm, so people don't need to put on lots of clothes. There are so many activities the celebraters can do on those days, from dancing to playing sport to tasting delicious traditional food. If you visit the carnival you will be overwhelmed with your feelings of excitement.
