Это чисто мое мнение, так сказать :) К музыке В. Калинникова меня приучила моя учительница по сольфеджио, и ,знаете, неспроста. Василий Калинников ведь не получил никакого специализированного образования, считал всегда себя самоучкой-любителем. Но каким! Его первая симфония g-moll - произведение столь высокого уровня, что не верится в некомпетентность ее автора. Уж что касается музыкальных форм, то Калинников умел пользоваться ими так, чтобы завлечь слушателя: почти вся его музыка - это смешение прекрасного лирического и трагического, многочисленные вариации в разных тональностях, ширь и глубина звуков. Его музыка нередко напоминает музыку к старым добрым советским мультфильмам, тоже подкупает своей напевностью. При прослушивании таких произведений мгновенно улетучивается все плохое, душа тянется к высокому и светлому.
