Avatar is a 3D blockbuster directed by James Cameron.

winning science-fiction film, stars Sam Worthington as Jake Sully,
soldier trom an environmentally degraded Earth and Zoe Saldana de
Neytiri, the daughter of the leader of a tribe of humanoid aliens we
live on the Earth-like moon Pandora.
The film is set in the mid-22nd century on Pandora where Jake is sent
on a mission. In his avatar body, he must approach a group of Navi
residents of Pandora and try to persuade them to move away from
where they live so that humans can mine the rich mineral deposit there.
A romance develops between Jake and Neytiri and instead of moving
the tribe, he becomes one of them. He begins to understand the
secrets of Pandora and wants to protect the Na'vi from the humans.
Avatar is a film about greed, ecology and love, but it is also an
amazing visual experience. The nature scenes of the alien landscape
are spectacular. Cameron has said that he wants the film to make
people think about how they interact with nature, and it definitely
does that. The performances of both Worthington and Saldana are
outstanding and the supporting cast is superb.
I found this film very entertaining and it is sure to appeal to all ages.
Avatar is an experience film-goers shouldn't miss even if they don't
especially like science fiction!
