Sort out the skills of an effective listener:
1)Listening for details
2)Listening for the main idea
3)Listening for specific information
-Be careful to note if the statement is positive or
negative
-When you listen, think of a word that sums up what the
speaker is talking about.
-For Not stated questions, some information in the
statement will be referred to in some way in the
recording just to confuse you.
-Read the stems and the answer choices. Find the key
words in each.
-Read the title to get a general idea of what the text is
about.
-The question stems can often be a paraphrase of the
interviewer's question.
