Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
I have just seen a musical film “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” which is based on a children’s novel by Roald Dahl. The film was directed by Tim Burton.
This fantasy comedy film is about an eccentric chocolate magnate Willy Wonka and Charlie Bucket, a good-natured boy from a poor family. One day Willie announces an international competition to select the heir to his candy empire. Charlie and four more children find "golden tickets" in Wonka chocolate bars and win a tour of the legendary chocolate factory that has been hidden from people’s eyes for fifteen years. Watching the film is like being on that tour with Charlie. The four naughty kids get punished during the film, and in the end Charlie helps Willy Wonka to find his father.
The film stars are my favourite actors Johnny Depp and Freddie Highmore. Their acting is just superb. I also like the music in the film. There are a few songs in the film sung by the funny little Oompa-Loompas. The visual effects are simply the best, all the chocolate things look very realistic! I was surprised to know that all the Oompa-Loompas were played by one actor.
I enjoyed every minute of this story on the screen.
-He had studied French before he entered the university.
-Lanny said that he had got his education in Cape Town.
-The boy wanted to act the main part in the play because he had organized the theatre.
-Lanny didn't know who had attacked him in the darkness.
-The girl was glad that she had found a seat near the window.
-Suddenly he remembered that he had not rung her up in the morning.
-By the time the train reached the city, he had made friends with many passengers.
-When his uncle had left, he hurried to the station to book a ticket.
-She thought that Gert and Lanny had quarrelled.
-By the time we came to see him, he had returned.
-During the holidays my friend visited the village where he had lived in his childhood.
-When they entered the hall, the performance had already begun.
-When I came home, my mother told me that she had received a letter from grandfather.
-Where had you worked before you entered the institute?
-By two o'clock the teacher had examined all the students.
-On my way to school I remembered that I had left my report at home.
-All my friends were glad to hear that I had passed all the examinations successfully.
-Poor Oliver lay unconscious on the spot where Sikes had left him.
-He opened his eyes, looked around and tried to remember what had happened to him.
-All the passengers saw at once that the old man had travelled a great deal in his life.
