Tom is looking for his key. He can't find it. — He has lost his key. (Он потерял ключ.)Margaret can't walk and her leg is in plaster. — She has broken her leg. (Она сломала ногу.)Last week the bus fare was 80 pence. Now it's 90. — The bus fare has gone up. (Плату за проезд на автобусе подняли.)Maria's English wasn't very good. Now it is better. — Her English has improved. (Её английский улучшился.)Dan didn't have a beard before. Now he has a beard. — He has grown a beard. (Он отрастил бороду.)This morning I was expecting a letter. Now I have it. — The letter has arrived. (Письмо пришло.)The temperature was 20 degrees. Now it is only 12. — The temperature has fallen.
No, thank you. I've just had lunch.I'm afraid, he's gone out.Wait a minute! I've not finished yet.No, I've done it myself / already.Have you found a place to live / anything?I've not decided yet.No, she's come back.
The word kremlin means fortress in Russian. The most famous and well-known is the Moscow Kremlin. The Kremlin is built next to the Moskva River on one side and Red Square on the other. Inside there are beautiful attractive state buildings, tree-lined squares and peaceful gardens. The wall around the Moscow Kremlin is 2,235 metres long and five to nineteen metres thick. There are 20 towers, one of which is the main one with a height of 71 m.
The Moscow Kremlin and Red Square were designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1990. There are incredibly beautiful churches and palaces, such as the oldest Assumption Cathedral, made of white stone and five golden domes. Many patriarchal patriarchs are buried there. There is also the Cathedral of the Annunciation similar to the first. Inside are the icons of Theophanes and Andrei Rublev. Then there is the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel, after the bell tower of Ivan 111, in which there is a large bell. He was never a monastery. There is also a royal cannon near the Cathedral of the Twelve Apostles and the Patriarch's Palace.
