Kiev (or Kyiv) is the capital of Ukraine. It is also its largest city.
Kiev stretches for the space of more than 20 km along the picturesque banks of the biggest Ukrainian river — Dnieper. Its square consists 827 sq.km. The population of Kiev is about 3 millions people.
The capital of Ukraine has got great cultural potential. It is one of the oldest cities of Europe : it was founded more than 1500 years ago, therefore there are many historical places in it. There are more than 30 museums, about 200 unique architectural monuments, 33 theatres and more than 60 parks.
There are many historical places in Kiev. For example, St Sophia Cathedral, which was built in the 11th century, Kievo-Pecherskaya Lavra that was founded in the 11th century, St Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery, which was ruined and recently completely restored, St. Andrew’s church in baroque style.
My trip to London.
My last trip was to England to London. Best of all i liked a very interesting place named '"Big Ben". In fact "Big Ben" is the name of the thirteenth's bell on this tower. Sometimes people call "Big Ben" as "Saint Stephan's tower". In may 2009 people celebrated the 105th anniversary of this tower. In 1288 in Vestminer people built this great tower. Agustus Padgin made the desing of thedial. I liked my trip very much.
