A project stakeholder is a person, group, or organization that can influence the project, or that can be affected by the results of the project or individual project objectives.
As can be inferred from the definition, the interested party can be both external and internal to the project.
So, the interested party has interests in the project that can be affected both positively and negatively during the execution or as a result of the completion of the project. In addition, different stakeholders may have conflicting expectations.
So it turns out that if someone has some expectations from the project and can influence its progress, but the project Manager does not know about it, then the actions of the interested party may be an unpleasant surprise for them.
