Knowing the past helps you become more familiar with the traditions of different nations. It is interesting to learn about the traditions of ancient countries. For example, the Egyptian Pharaoh never showed his hair and wore a special hat. But the ancient Greeks paid great attention to sacrifice.
I am very attracted to the history of the period of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. I am proud of my ancestors who committed an invaluable act: they were not afraid to go to their goal.
My favourite celebrity is Tom Hanks. He is an American actor and filmmaker. Hanks is one of the most popular and recognizable film stars worldwide. He's played so many iconic roles such as "Forrest Gump", "The Green Mile", "Cast Away", "The Da Vinci Code" etc.
But, Hanks isn’t just an actor, he’s also a writer. He published ‘The Uncommon Type,’ a collection of 17 much-vaunted short stories in 2017.
Also, he is not only the nicest guy in Hollywood but a real sweetheart behind the cameras. He teaches me that we’re all capable of making someone’s day just a bit brighter. Plus, he supports NASA's manned space program, Hanks said he originally wanted to be an astronaut.
There are plenty of heartwarming stories about Hanks. He seems a genuine and a good guy about whom nobody seems to have a bad word. That's why I like him.
