I don't often listen to Russian music. Despite of the fact that I live in Russia, I almost do not know Russian pop. Except that I listen to Zemfira and Valentin Strykalo, but Valentin is an Ukrainian musician. So I want to tell you about Zemfira. She started her career in 1998. In 1999, the magazine "Ogonek" called Zemfira "voice of a generation". Many of Zemfira's songs fell to the top of music charts. Her behaviour in public was often shocking and caused the rejection of the press.Zemfira is also a perfectionist in the work, she has a hard disagreement with music producers.In 2004, Russian history textbook for grade 9 in the section "Spiritual life" includes mention of Zemfira as the founder of "completely different" musical youth culture. In 2012, 2013 and 2014, the singer was listed among the "the most influential women of Russia". Lyrics of Zemfira's have peculiar and unique style. The singer doesn't like to talk in an interview about the texts and does not consider herself as a poet. Musical style Zemfira belongs to the genres of rock and pop-rock. My favorite songs are "a sign of infinity" , "want" and of course "live in your head."
