Belarus is a state in eastern europe, completely surrounded by land. this country has many buildings of the stalin era, historical military fortifications and untouched forests. in the capital, the city of minsk, is a monumental building of the kgb of the republic of belarus. its shape is visible from the nearby independence square. another attraction is the state museum of the history of the great patriotic war. also in minsk there are many different churches, for example the church of st. simeon and st. helena.
