Margaret said that lots of her friends were not keen on reading books.
She said they preferred going to discos, playing computer games, watching TV and videos.
She explained that she was shy and not very sociable and she didn't spend much time going to noisy parties. But she didn't feel lonely thanks to the books she loved.
She added that when she was a little girl, she loved turning the pages over and over, looking at the beautiful pictures and guessing what the characters would say and do. She started reading when she was only five. Margaret said she imagined herself travelling everywhere, speaking different languages, climbing mountains and flying to other planets. She believed that nearly all she knew she had learnt from books. She said that those of her friends who read a lot were smart and interesting to talk to. Margaret added that as a rule they were very good at English. Finally, she said reading was a special world full of adventures and joy.
My favorite movie is "Alien". This is a sci-fi horror film made in 1979. The film is directed by Ridley Scott. Screenwriter Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shasett. The film premiered in the United States on May 25, 1979.
