Festival in my Town
We have a lot of celebrations in our town. I’d like to tell you about my favourite festival – Picnic at the Kremlin. It is a family festival. It doesn’t have a special date. It takes place in August, on Sunday. This year Picnic at the Kremlin has taken place on the 23rd August.
For the most people, Picnic at the Kremlin is a festival of fun, happiness, smiles, sun and kindness. It is a festival for people of all ages: little children, teenagers, adults and even pensioneers – everybody could find entertainment at their pleasure: sports, cinema, music and so on. This year the festival was absolutely different from the previous ones. The organizers have placed a new platform at the Speed-skating Centre, have added to the program a bicycle flashmob. The column of cyclists was headed by the Ekaterina Lobysheva and Alexei Naumov. There were several playgrounds with skateboards, balanceboards and slacklines.
Also took place the workshops of on kite, streetball, street workout, weightlifting, boxing, arm wrestling and karate. There were a bright dancing flashmob too. Children sang, painted and played – all of them had a lot of fun. There were a lot of photographers at this festival. One of the main features of Picnic 2015 became an evening program with concerts and an open-air cinema in Zaycev’s Park. It was exciting and fascinating.
Picnic at the Kremlin is a long-term work of a lot of people. All the guests were enthused and happy.
I have got a family. It is big and friendly. There are four members in my family. They are my mum, dad, brother and me.
I have got a mum. Her name is Lena. She is thirty-five. My mum is clever and kind. She is a housewife. My mum is good at cooking. Every day she cleans the rooms, washes the dishes and doesn`t let my brother and me fight.
I have got a father. His name is Dima. My father is handsome and serious. He is very busy and works a lot. My father is fond of playing computer games. At the weekends we play games together. Also, he helps me with my homework and my mum with housework. He is the best dad in the world!
My younger brother is two. His name is Vanya. He looks like my dad. Vanya is strong, clever and talented. He can swim and run. Vanya likes watching cartoons on TV. Sometimes he is naughty. He enjoys breaking my toy cars and drawing in my exercise-books. I wish I were two too.
I love my family. I am happy!
