Theatrical drama is based on three things,which are very important: actors,some dramatic conflict(for example misunderstanding or disagreement between actors) and an audience. The first theatrical performances of this kind took place in ancient Greece. The Greek drama developed from hymns sung to Dionysius, the god of wine and good life. But it did not become true theatre until such performances included stories of the other gods and actors to represent them. Thespis was the first known actor. He travelled to Athens. where he won a prize at the new drama festival. He was the first professional performer, who played a god, because only kings and priests had played gods before him. Cinema was born at the end of the 19th century. The Lumiere Brothers were the first people, who showed the first movies to a paying public. It was on the 20th of February 1896 in France. After that cinema spread all over the world. The first films showed moving people and transport or newsreels and short comedies. At first, films were shown anywhere: in music halls, clubs and shops. Special film theatres were built only at 1980.The first colour films were made in the 1930s, but black-and-white films are still made today.
First of all I must say that I am most concerned about the place where I live. It doesn’t matter wheather my house is small or large, modern or old. The atmosphere is more important. It should be a place you want to stay and want to return to. I agree with the proverb: «East or West home is best». Your house must be a place where you can relax, come back with pleasure.Now I’d like to say a few words about my house. So, I live on the outskirts of the town. It is rather far from the centre of the city and what is more important it is far from traffic. I have a detached house. I like fresh air. My house is surrounded by trees, bushes and there are many flowers and a pond in the garden. It is one-storeyed building. The house has the back entrance. It is a terrace. There are 4 rooms on the ground floor. It is a living room, two bedrooms and a study-room. Also there is a large kitchen, a bathroom and a small enterance hall. We have all modern conveniences, such as heating, electricity, gas,hot and cold running water and a telephone. Of course we don’t have a chute.Our living room is the largest one. There is a large window, a window-door, a TV set, a sofa, two armchairs and a fireplace. We like to gather together in winter here watching the fire and talking about everything. The kitchen is rather small. But there is everything what is necessary: a round table, a cupboard, a fridge, a cooker. Also there is a big aquarium. I like to spend time in my bedroom. It is a big room where you can find a large bed, awardrobe, a mirror and an armchair. Other bedroom is smaller. There is a bed, a wardrobe, a table and a chair. The computer and bookshelves are in the study. My bathroom provides me with convenience. There is a nice mirror, a rack for towels, a bath-tab and a basin. The entrance hall is small. There is a hall-stand and a mirror. The telephone is on a special table under the mirror. I try to keep my flat clean.Of course, I am looking forward to improving my household conditions. I hope it is not in a distant future. I like my house. It is comfortable and cosy. Everything here is dear andprecious to me. Many pleasant and happy moments of my life are connected with my home. I believe that the house starts to be the home when it is warmed by the people who live in it, isn’t it?
