The capital of the Republic of Belarus is Minsk. The President of the Republic is Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko.Belarus is often called blue-eyed. Why such a name? Because there are many lakes on the territory of the republic, especially in the north-eastern part. Braslav Lakes, Sorochansky Lakes, Blue Lakes, Lake Naroch, Lake Svityaz.Through Belarus, there are such large rivers as the Neman, the Western Dvina, the Dnieper, the Berezina, the Sozh and a large number of small rivers and streams.There are many forests on the territory of the country - they are called Pushcha forests: Nalibok and Belovezhskaya. And also reserves: Pripyatsky, Polessky, Berezinsky and others.In Belarus, several medieval castles have survived to this day - Mirsky, Nesvizh, Lida, and you can also see the ruins of the Kreva Castle, Novogrudok and Golshansky.Good, hardworking, hospitable people live in Belarus.
