What is conflict? conflict is the meeting of two different opinions, in which none of the parties to the conflict will not accept the position of the other party. conflict can bring the joy of victory and defeat. The behavior of people in conflict situations is studying science conflict studies. From the point of view of science, there are 4 strategies of behavior in conflicts: adaptation, avoidance, cooperation and rivalry. Russian people celebrate Christmas on 7 January. New Year is celebrated since 31 December up to 1 January. People decorate their flats with different decorations.
My mum and I decorate our flat with tinsel of different colours. We also decorate the New Year tree with colourful lights, tinsel, toys and balls. In Russia all the cities are decorated and so is Krasnoyarsk. Families go shopping and buy various presents. My mother and I choose presents together. Some people make presents themselves. And all people put presents under the tree. The Russian people also prepare a traditional New Year dish. It’s a pancake. I like them very much. At New Year my family first cooks Russian salad. We cook meat in aspic, beetroot salad, chicken, potatoes, herrings in a “fur muff” and pickled vegetables. We also buy caviar and tangerines. They are delicious!
