My favourite sport is swimming. I have been doing swimming for ten years, when my mum took me to the swimming pool for the first time. I fell in love with this sport at once. It's pleasant to feel the cool freshness of the water against your body.. I think, swimming is the only sport which makes all your muscles work while doing it. Sometimes people take it up, when they want to get stronger. Besides, swimming develops such personal qualities as will (especially when you compete with someone) and endurance. 

I also like to watch swimming competitions on TV. I admire the best world swimmers like Michael Phelps, who won Olympic medals 18 times and our Russian swimmers Yevgeny Korotyshkin and Alexander Tikhonov.  I always follow swimming events, such as world contests and Olympic Games.
