Paul was tired when he came out of the hotel and got into the car.

Patricia and Paul decided to spend a few days at this popular place for holidays. All the hotels were full. Paul stopped the car near a nice building and they came into the cafe. There were a lot of people there. A pleasant looking middle-aged man with grey hair came up to them and showed Paul and Patricia to the table.

"Oh, thank you very much, " Patricia said.They drank coffee. Then Paul went to telephone hotels. He telephoned five hotels but the answer was the same: "No, we haven't got any rooms iree to- night. "

It was the ninth hotel when Paul suddenly heard: "Would you wait a moment please?" Then: "Good evening, You'd like to have a double room, wouldn't you?" "Yes. Is there any hope?" Well, it's difficult to say. We've got a room. The people who have reserved it haven't arrived yet. And it's half past twelve already. I think you may have the room. " "Oh, many thanks! I've telephoned so many hotels. Let's see! Yes, you are the Hotel Stefani, aren't you?" "That's right. The Hotel Steffni. " "Where is your hotel, please?" "In the centre of St. Moritz. Where are you speaking from?"
