Task 1.read the text and complete the task. A tsunami is a series of waves in the ocean that create waves of water. The walls of this water reach a height of up to 100 feet, and an earthquake on the sea floor, which can cause massive destruction when it reaches the shore, is a typical cause of a tsunami. When the ocean floor rises or falls at the edge of the plate, it sends waves that displace the water and turn into tsunamis. About 80 percent of tsunamis occur in the so-called "Ring of fire" in the Pacific Ocean. This is a zone of volcanic activity, where there was an alternation of tectonic plates, and earthquakes are common. Underwater avalanches and volcanic eruptions can trigger tsunamis. In ancient times of the Earth, a tsunami occurred as a result of the fall of a meteorite into the ocean. The best protection for people from a tsunami is an early warning that allows people to evacuate areas close to the ocean
